New UCW Service Centre in Fremantle

UnitingCare West (UCW) will soon be expanding its services in the Fremantle area and will be opening a new Service Centre in 2015 in a purpose designed, centrally located building.

Currently in Fremantle, UCW offers financial counselling, emergency relief services and Homelessness Accommodation and Support Services (HASS) from our office in Cantonment Street. Our new location will be around the corner on 10-12 Market Street, across from the post office.

In addition to the current services, we will also run a number of children and family services from the new location. Child and Family Therapeutic Service (CAFTS), Parent Drug & Alcohol Service ATTACH and Intensive Family Services (IFS) are currently offered at other UCW locations and will soon be available in Fremantle.

The new Service Centre will have a friendly look and feel; inviting people in the community to walk in if they require help or advice. We will be able to assist with the services available on site or refer people to other relevant services in the area.

UCW decided to expand its services in Fremantle after noticing a growing need for assistance for vulnerable people and the realisation that several services for children and families are currently not available in the area.

On Tuesday 14 April, UCW held an open house at the new Service Centre for other local community service providers in Fremantle, where representatives were invited to meet UCW staff and find out more about the new services that we are bringing to the area.

We are looking forward to working together with industry colleagues to offer an integrated network of services to the community – living our mission to support, serve and empower people most in need.
