On Saturday 7 February, UnitingCare West celebrated the contribution of our volunteers with a wonderful afternoon tea and entertainment at the Warehouse Café in Shenton Park.
Guests of honour were the people who volunteer their time with UnitingCare West services, helping us to assist those most in need. UnitingCare West runs with the help of more than 300 volunteers – the largest numbers of volunteers assisting with the Rainbow lunch groups, Food Rescue program and our annual Christmas Appeal.
The volunteers and their special contribution of time, dedication and commitment were acknowledged by CEO Sue Ash AO, who also highlighted memorable moments from the past year.
A celebratory cake was presented to the volunteers and cut by CEO Sue Ash AO, assisted by our longest serving volunteer Ruth Reed. Guests were treated to performances by Fremantle based a-cappella group Voices In Sync and the Methodist Ladies’ College string quartet.
UnitingCare West would like to show its appreciation to all who volunteer their time with our services throughout the year. You can find more information about volunteering with UnitingCare West here.
