Christmas Appeal Launch 2016

For 25 years UnitingCare and Target have partnered to brighten the lives of thousands of Australians at Christmas through the annual Christmas Appeal. The goal this year is to bring families, especially children, the love, joy and hope that comes with Christmas.

UnitingCare West’s Christmas Appeal was launched on Friday 18 November in the foyer of 100 St Georges Terrace by UnitingCare West CEO Sue Ash AO and the Hon. Michael Sutherland MLA. An enjoyable Christmas themed morning tea was provided by 100 St Georges Terrace and carols were performed by the student choir from Tranby College.

The public are encouraged throughout the 2016 Christmas Appeal, to place new unwrapped toys under the Christmas tree at the front of any Target store. Gift tags to support the appeal financially are available for purchase at the checkout of any Target store.

UnitingCare West and volunteers from Uniting Church agencies and congregations collect the gifts from Target stores around WA, and distribute them to people most in need.
